ASUU strike to end on Monday

The ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU) have been called off, after meeting with The Federal Government and all involved educational bodies.

According to reports, the strike will end on Monday 21st August.

However, Nigerian sex workers, under the Nigerian Sex Workers
Association (NSWA) have said that the ongoing sit at home embacked upon by the Academic Staff Union of
Universities (ASUU), which has led to the closure of public universities, will increase prostitution among female students.

The union, speaking through their president, said,“The government needs to ensure that the strike is called off because if the students are left idle due to the closure of schools, it means the government is indirectly telling them to go to the streets."
