La Liga powerhouse, Barcelona have confirmed the payment of €222 million by Neymar's representatives for the release of the Brazilian from his contract and enable him sign for French side PSG.
"This afternoon, legal representatives of Neymar presented themselves at the club offices and have completed, in the name of the player, the payment of €222m as compensation for the unilateral termination of the contract that bound both parties.
"At the same time, the club will pass the details of the operation to UEFA in order that they can address the disciplinary responsibilities that may arise from this case," the Camp Nou based team said in an official statement.
The transfer is expected to go through despite La Liga rejecting the release clause payment earlier in the day.
Neymar is now expected to become the world's most expensive player, dwarfing the amount Manchester united paid for Paul Pogba.
