Reports: Buhari have asked aides to move files to London


Reports have claimed that ailing President Muhammadu Buhari have instructed his Aides to move his office files to the Abuja House, London, where he is currently recuperating from an undisclosed illness.

According to AIT news online, This insinuation became obvious, when the Secretary General of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC, Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo, paid him a business visit on Monday night, in the United, Kingdom, UK, probably as the Nigerian substantive Minister of Petroleum.

According to a statement released by OPEC, Barkindo and Buhari discussed current oil market conditions, and the implementation of the OPEC-non-OPEC ‘Declaration of Cooperation’.

It can be recalled that Buhari had traveled to London since May 7th for an undisclosed medical treatment.

Before his departure, he had officially transmitted power to the his Vice, Yemi Osinbajo, as Acting President, with full Presidential powers.

OPEC’s statement reads: ”Buhari expressed his satisfaction with the steady progress being made by all participating countries in the ‘Declaration of Cooperation’, and urged them to remain focused and resolute.
