A British lady have publicly rejected the notion that a man is the head of the house, backing her argument with the idea that it is deeply rooted in religion and specifically the Bible.
Tweeting with the handle @moniquemonrowe, she said,"I strongly reject the idea that the man is the head of the house and it’s not a concept I’m going to teach my children nor abide by.
"The idea that a man is the head of a household of head of a woman is deep rooted into religion and specifically the bible. I cannot accept a concept written at a time period where women did not have equal consideration or power.
"This does not reconcile with today’s reality or the modern woman or family. A lot of biblical concepts do not. We have to use interpretation to work out which ones we deem appropriate."
