Senator Ike Ekweremadu and Senator Dino Melaye have both won their seat back to the Senate.
Senator Ekweremadu polled 86,088 votes to beat his closest rival, Mrs Juliet Ibekaku-Nwagwu, of the All Progressive Congress (APC), who go just 15,187 votes. He was declared winner by the Returning Officer of the election, Prof. Douglas Nwabueze. He will still represent Enugu West in the Red Chambers.
Also Senator Dino Melaye of Kogi West won his seat back to the 9th seat, polling 85,395 votes to beat his nearest opponent, Sam Adeyemi of the APC, who got 66,902 votes.
Meanwhile, the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, lost his bid for re-election. He lost to Oloriegbe of the APC, who polled 123,808 to defeat Saraki, who got 68,994.
