Whisper Takes Female Detainees home for the holiday

Nigerians saw the EndSARS protests as the beginning of hope and the start of a new Nigeria.

The Nigerian authorities didn’t see it that way as they took to the streets to arrest protesters and non protesters alike on allegedly flouting curfew without any means of contacting their families.

So many people went missing and their families didn’t know where their loved ones were or if they would come out alive.

Whisper To Humanity launched the home4holidays project in November, 2020 to ensure that women who were arrested due to the EndSARS protests were located and released before the holidays.

Whisper To Humanity has worked tirelessly on the home4holidays project with other organizations as we have been able to get 22 WOMEN out of police custody and back to their families.

We believe and understand the importance of documentation and especially during this very fragile time for this project, it is important that we get as much stories of these women as possible.
