Go home and get your fees, ABSU tells students, as school vacants for two weeks

Abia State University's authorities have asked students to vacant the school for two weeks and go home to get their fees.

This was annouced after Thurday's Senate meeting of the school.

However, the students have taken their frustrations online, condemning the decision and reminding the school authorities that most of their parents, who are civil servants are been owed salaries running into several months by the Abia State government, wondering wether they will "pluck" their fees from trees.

"Please what's the difference between
ABSU and SECONDARY SCHOOL?", one asked.

Another questioned the work of the students' representatives, the Student Union Government (SUG), questioning why they aren't doing anything about it.

A visibly frustrated student wrote,"I'm just waiting for any mad girl or boy that will come here and be doing campaign for any S.U.G post or anything concerning S.U.G. The thunder that will strike u dt day will come from my village shrine. Thank You".

As of press time, there haven't been any any official response from the school.
