United States Senator, Bernie Sanders have indicated interest in running against President Donald Trump in 2020 Presidential poll.
The Independent Senator from the US State of Vermont, who calls himself "Democratic socialist", cast his candidacy as a way to accomplish the mission he started three years ago when he ran against Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination.
It can be recalled that Bernie Sanders ran against former US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, for the Democratic Party's Presidential ticket, which he lost, in 2016.
In an email to supporters on Tuesday morning, Sanders who spent much of his nearly 30-year congressional career as an outsider on the political fringe, said,"Together, you and I and our 2016 campaign began the political revolution. Now, it is time to complete that revolution and implement the vision that we fought for.”
Sanders, 77, running as a Democrat again, believes he can prevail in a crowded and diverse field that includes several female and minority candidates, then beat Donald Trump, whom he called in the email “the most dangerous president in modern American history”.
