A former deputy speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha, have won the Imo State Governorship election, triggering heavy celebration in the state capital, Owerri.
The Mbaise-born former lawmaker, beat other candidates, including Uche Nwosu of the Action Alliance, who is the in-law to incumbent Governor, Rochas Okorocha, and All Progressives Congress's Hope Uzodinma.
Meanwhile, the candidate of the AA, Uche Nwosu, have sent a congratulatory letter to Emeka Ihedioha on his victory, promising to work with him to develop I'm state.
