Nigeria's electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), have announced that 23rd of March as new date for supplementary elections in those state's that were declared inconclusive.
These includes Adamawa, Kano, Bauchi, Plateau, Benue and Sokoto. States which the opposition People's Democratic Party is leading.
This was an after effect of the meeting by the commission, which met today and reviewed the conduct of the 29 Governorship and 991 State constituency elections held on 9th March 2019. In all, the Commission declared winners in the Governorship elections in 22 states.
