SHOCKING! Buhari appoints dead man in federal board (SEE WHO)

A dead former lawmaker have been appointed by Nigeria's President, Muhammad Buhari to the board of the Federal Character Commision.

The former lawmaker, late Tobias Chukwuemeka Okwuru, hails from Ebonyi State in the South Eastern part of the country.

Late Tobais, who once represented Ikwo/Ozza Federal Constituency, had died in February 2002, aged 59.

He was appointed alongside 37 others to the board in a letter read out by Senate President, Ahmad Lawal, during plenary. This letter was transmitted by the President to the Senate.

During his lifetime, he served as state auditor of the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi, Chief Whip of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly before moving to represent his people at Abuja.

Surprised, this isn't the first time the President have made such error. In 2017, a list of appointments on several boards and parastals were filled with names of dead persons.

The list included Senator Francis Okpzo (Delta), Rev. Fr. Christopher Utau (Benue), DIG Donald Ugbaja (rtd.), Garba Attahiru (Kaduna) and Umar Dange (Sokoto).
