Presidential aide wishes abducted government critic happy birthday "anywhere he is"

Aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, have wished abducted government critic, Dadiyata, a happy birthday "anywhere he is".

It can be recalled that Abubakar Dadiyata,  was abducted from his home at Barnawa area of Kaduna State on August 1. He has since been missing. 

However today, Bashir, who works for the President, tweeted, "This is to wish Abubakar Dadiyata a happy birthday, I wish him the best and remember him always in my prayers. May Allah protect him everywhere he is, rescue and reunite him with his family and friends."

Dadiyata, a lecturer at the Federal University Dutsinma, Katsina State, and supporter of former Kano State governor Rabiu Kwakwanso, is a critic of the All Progressive Congress and the APC governor in Kano State Umar Ganduje.

Kwankwaso, a former ally of the incumbent Kano State governor, was a member of the ruling APC until 2018. He was two times Governor of Kano State from 1999 to 2003 and 2011 to 2015.

“As he was about to lock the gate, two men accosted him and took him away in his car,” Dadiyata’s wife told Premium Times in August.
