Monaco defensive midfielder, Fabinho, is edging closer to a move to Old Trafford, according to Goal.com.
Fabinho, who has played over 180 games for the principality club, scoring 23 goals, is valued at around €45 million, and sources have confirmed that the transfer could be sealed in the coming days.
The Brazilian, who plays primarily a defensive midfielder, has been been given assurances that he would be played in a full-back role too, something that appeals to the 23-year-old.
And Fabinho, who has also played for Real Madrid, is desperate to increase his chances of making Tite's national team squad for the 2018 World Cup, having been largely overlooked up to now.
Regarding United's interest, Fabinho said on Friday: "It’s a tempting invitation. I would first talk to my agent, Monaco too, to decide everything is right.
"But it’s a great club, sure enough I would think well about it."
