Nigeria's electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission have deregistered 74 political parties.
Carrying out a review of the performance of political parties after the 2019 general elections to see which parties qualify to exists, 74 were removed and only 18 survived the venting process.
It can be recalled that during the 2019 general elections, most parties didn't have candidates for most positions been contested for.
